Paylocity
Brand guide
Paylocity had no brand guide when I joined, so I built one from scratch. Then I wrote and illustrated the company-wide training that taught people to use it.
- Role
- Designed, wrote and illustrated
- Company
- Paylocity
- When
- 2016 to 2017
- Industry
- HR and payroll software
The gap
When I joined Paylocity there was no clear, consistent brand guide. I took it on myself.
What I built
I built the brand system and its guidelines:
- Voice: what we sound like when we talk to the world
- Logo usage
- Photography styles
- Color palettes and typography
- Iconography and a grid system
Training
With the guide done, I partnered with Learning and Development on a company-wide training course. I wrote, illustrated and developed all of the training material myself.
